Greater than $765,000 price of nonfungible tokens has been stolen as a part of a reported SIM swap assault on the GutterCatGang NFT mission.

Alongside the official GutterCatGang account, co-founder @gutterric was additionally hacked.
The hacker, or hackers used the accounts to share hyperlinks to faux “restricted version” GutterCatGang NFT sneaker airdrops that primarily drained folks’s sizzling wallets after they clicked on them.
In an effort to make the fictional hyperlinks look extra authentic, the tweets included current GutterCatGang branding and imagery from the mission’s phygital sneaker drop in partnership with Puma and NBA/Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball.

Responding to Gutter Mitch’s thread, distinguished blockchain sleuth ZachXBT asserted that the crew was hacked by way of a SIM swap assault, as he questioned the crew’s cyber safety practices.
